Larry King and Newsweek turn down Kitty Kelly ......(On Imus)
Saying she is "unreliable". Coming from a magazine that stacks a

repugs over dems in their latest poll....it's no suprrise.

Can Kerry come back from ? EXCUSE ME.... they are tied. The network

whores have the marchings orders: dumbdown the "cola abuse".

Which is why she is one of his favorite guests.

If he doesn't have her on, it's pure Bush bias.

discussing the Royals, she tried to bring up her upcoming book on the Bushies* and King absolutely cut her off. I knew he wouldn't have her on...

If there is anything in the book that is not true, don't you think the Bush's will sue?

19. How did she suddenly become unreliable in the last six months?
King seemed to think she was quite reliable as recently as last March 10 when she appeared on his show to discuss Princess Diana.

And January 7, 2004
And 4 times in 2003
And 8 times in 2002
And dozens of other times before that . . .

If Kitty Kelley is so unreliable, what does it say about Larry King that he has so frequently featured her on his program?

Or, let me guess. She was perfectly reliable UNTIL she dished the dirt on King George.

23. Nancy...Don't Forget The Fundies...
He brings on Dobson and Shueller like they're elected national leaders, instead of selfish, greedy hypocrites. Then there's Tony Robbins & Dr. Phil and the unloved Dr. Laura.

Sadly, in the 70's, I idolized Larry...even had the chance to meet him and pick his brains over coffee one day. He pioneered a lot of good talk radio...based in DC and wasn't afraid to say he was both a Democrat and a liberal. He was the first person I remember hearing use the word "right wing wacko".

Looks like things have changed since he went "Hollywood". His shows now deal with a lot of death & dying. We joke here that an appearance on Larry King Dead must be an omen. He no longer has any edge on his interviews and does a lot of pandering for his corporate masters.

No doubt, CNNservative is out to protect Time Warner's media monopoly interests and they see maintaining this regime as imperative. There are still outstanding dereg bills that could enable this media monster to gobble up TV stations and cable systems...and they almost rammed it through last year. Another 4 years of this regime...especially one that has shut down the Democrats and that big money pile is within reach.

I'm carefully watching how the Time machine is working right now...Time/Gallup/CNNservative...as they appear to be manufacaturing news as opposed to reporting it. One day, I suspect, journalism students will study this time like they did McCarthyism in the 50's as to the abuse of media by politicians.

45. And A Proven Liar and Watergate Hit Man, John O'Neill Isn't "Unreliable"?
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 01:24 PM by David Zephyr
There's a pattern here. A real pattern.

Three weeks of non-stop flirting with a known liar and his completely discredited charges by the media is what? Reliable journalism?

CBS censors a benign story on the Reagans.

Disney, yielding to White House pressure to censor, refuses to distribute 9/11 costing their stockholders the most profitable venture of the year.

Journalists and newspaper reporters who dared criticize George W. Bush have been systematically fired from their jobs since the earliest days of this administration.

The author of "Fortunate Son" which was the first truly researched book exposing George W. Bush is suicided in a motel.

The fact that Kitty Kelly, one of the world's top grossing biographers, is blacklisted (that's what it is) from top television talk shows that regularly pander to nuts who "communicate with the dead" to strippers because she is not "reliable" is just bullshit.

It's not because she is not "reliable", but because the subject is the Bush family.

If it were Kerry, Clinton or any prominent Democrat, they'd be booking her for weeks on end.

Unreliable, my ass!

Just another episode in a pattern of double standards by the corporate media in their mission to re-elect George Bush.

Keep an eye out for the adjectives of choice that Bush ass-licker, Wolf Blitzer, will sprinkle his speech with when referring to Kitty Kelly. It will be hillarious.
