Obama and McCain interviews to appear on Monday Night Football
This should be interesting...

"On the eve of the presidential election, with "Monday Night Football" from Washington as the backdrop, candidates Barack Obama and John McCain are planning to participate in one-on-one interviews on ESPN via satellite.

The interviews will give both Obama, the Democratic senator from Illinois, and McCain, the Republican senator from Arizona, a last major chance to appeal to Americans during a coveted spot on prime-time television. "Monday Night Football" has averaged 12.2 million viewers this season."

1. I wonder if McCain will use his 2 minutes of National TV airtime to just scream and curse
or perhaps say "Ayers." over and over again until they pull his feed.

6. Hell, I live in Oregon... I'm not even sure where Skins fans live
There are so many GD football teams in that part of the country...

Just one NFL team within 600 miles of here.

7. I love that cat in your avatar.
It is hard keeping up, really. Mostly Skin's fans are up in Turtlensue's region of Maryland, northern Virginia, DC, but some of us have migrated south.

I'd like to migrate back north, actually.

Oregon must be nice.

:hi:

8. So can you root for both the Ravens and Skins...
...since they're in different conferences?

That'd be pretty handy.

I'm not sure why, but I love serious cat.

9. Pretty much.
I only have Skins gear, but kind of like the Ravens. I have been displaced since 1980, though, and I'm not sure too many fans in the DC area are fond of the Ravens.

Serious cat rocks, especially Y so serious cat...lol.

5. McCain will try to pandor to Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh)
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 10:02 PM by Stagecoach
If it's a live interview, and Pittsburgh is leading at halftime, I can hear McCain already...."It's wonderful (my friends) to see the Pittsburgh Steelers shaking up Washington....just like my running mate and I plan to do!"

10. "which reminds me...
when I was a POW, a Vietmanese Prison Guard drew hash marks in the dirt. And with a hardened loaf of bread for a football, they allowed us to play. And at that moment, the Prison Guards and the Prisoners were just like ordinary people, enjoying the American Pastime."
