I love Rachel, but I think that Barack was having some fun with her tonight, with her tendency to pessimism. All in good fun, though - he was smiling, beaming, really, through the whole thing!

Wasn't it great to see two smart, engaged, informed adults talk about important issues like that, though? Wow.

Always a good thing.

3. I believe his words were cruising for bruising....
He may have been joking, but she really is wearing me out. I watched part of the interview and then switched to something else. She was so negative to Dean the other night, so negative.

None of us have our hopes up too high, but she does not need to be making our leaders sound like they don't know what they are doing.

1, 2. 3...attack now.

6. He's not liberal enough for ME.
BUT (and it's a huge one) I do think he is movable to the left and that's all I can ask for.

I look forward to helping "move" him and I hope (and suspect) Rachel does as well.

7. And neither is Dean..who never claimed to be liberal.
He just claimed to care a lot about our party and country.

She has been borderline rude to Dean so many times, I won't watch again.

That is the most I have seen Obama sort of send a message. Maybe he sees how it is affecting people.

14. Was hillary?
actually Obama has a more liberal record than hillary who constantly moved to the right to make a run for the presidency.

It just irks me that how Rachel always challenge the dems and softballs the repubs. Maybe its a family thing. One tends to be harder on the one you love. You know, I can talk bad about my sister, but you sure as hell bet not say a damn thing about her.

9. Well, she impressed Dan Rather with her interview...
It was quite revealing and good insight into what and where he's trying to go.. A cross of JFK and FDR... AND it revealed how insightful and intelligent and Presidential he looks and feels.

5. I loved how his voice changed to that "I've got this" tone
He was very smooth. Rachel was not happy.

8. She said later that it was her baiting question.. and he didn't go for it.
She revealed that with in the Kent Jones section... I think she was impressed and giddy about the interview.

12. I like Rachel too...
she is interesting, and provocative. I don't watch much of the other cable programming. I don't find it entertaining, and it is certainly not informative. The Daily Show is more of both.
