5. How does McCain receive SS?

I was under the impression that if you make over X amount of bucks,the Govt. started taking away the money. As a US Senator,he gets more than the limit. So how is he collecting?

This is a quote from the San Francisco Business Times and I can't believe the hypocrisy of this man. Not only does he cash his SS checks, he's more than happy to cash his disability checks as well. I'd respect him if he'd make a grand gesture and tear up those checks. I think it's funny that McCain is so against welfare but he's been on some form of government aid every day of his life.

The articles states the amount he receives from Social Security and not from the military. McCain is considered 100% disabled by the Navy and receives nearly $60,000 a year in disability.
