After Kerry speech - we ARE on the offensive - AWOL has his scandals
this is a major turning point today.

Shrub will be dealing with his dramas as Kerry laid out a vision for the country today in Cincinnati.

I feel great !

1. Yes, Kerry has explained clearly and coherently why he voted for the IWR.
And pointed out that bush* did not abide by any of the conditions that were laid out and were to be met before going to war. He's done this a lot of times. But right away CNN started with the tired old line about Kerry voting to give bush* the power to start the war. CNN intentionally neglected to mention that he didn't even bother to keep the promises he made in order to get that resolution passed.

It pisses me off that they will broadcast Kerry's speeches, but then try to trash his position immediately after the speech is over.

5. IWR loaded with stupid and useless whereas clauses
but does outline a requirement that the president report back to congress on the findings and necessity of military action. Bush simply referred to the whereas clauses in IWR as the reasons to go to war in his letter to Congress in March 2003.

I have copies of IWR and his letter here at my desk. I suggest all DUer's have and read a copy of both, google to easily find copies, and I also HIGHLY recommend reading or listening to Dean's book "Worse than Watergate"

8. Darryn Kagen
was the one who provided the "analysis". She is dating Rush Limbaugh, and has lost all objectivity. She has to go. I refuse to watch her.

12. I'm still kind of shell shocked.
If you get a chance, be sure to catch a cspan rerun of this morning's journal. They had Kerry's advisor, Susan Rice on, for not nearly long enough, and that woman answers questions and attacks on our candidates like we have been dreaming about. I'm not sure what position she will occupy (NSA?) in his administration, but, it's obvious, she can name it and it is hers. That woman would not let an August PDB slip by. Even the rethug callers complimented her on her brilliance!
This certainly can make one feel supremely confident!
