MSNBC is actually hiding good poll results for Obama now
This is teal crap. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27470956/

The headline is that 1 in 7 could still change their vote (I think that is crap too). You have to scroll way down to find the real results of the poll buried that Obama leads 51-43 in the likely voters. The media whores will do anything to try to make this a horse race to keep their ratings from tanking on election night.

1. To be fair, it's an AP poll and story.
AND THAT IS A BIG GAIN FOR OBAMA! THEY HAD HIM UP ONLY TWO LAST TIME! :bounce:

6. Exactly. They post wire stories on their news page, just like everybody else.
This is not MSNBC's bad.

11. I missed that was AP
Now I understand. They are unabashed McCain supporters. I read that AP is losing a lot of newspapers over their current practices of slanting stories and being hard-assed on pricing.

2. The point I've been ranting on...
Nora, D. Gregory, etc...these sorry excuses for journalists will look for any scrap that might be helpful to McCain. Pay no attention to those Gallup polls behind the curtain! Don't confuse us with the facts! Horserace, horserace...

3. At this point I do not mind MSNBC equivocation.
McCain and Obama both have internal polls they keep to themselves. A little tension in the campaign works to Obama's advantage. At this point determination is all that counts, corporate news hopefully is an artifact of the past,

4. Self centered TV personalities
are trying to create some "tension" to boost ratings on Nov. 4th - seems they are willing to mislead the American public in order to satisfy advertisers.

What a shame...

5. I am guessing with such a significant story like this that they have to
pass it NBC and let their pollster experts go over it with Chuck Todd. This close to the election and this big a story -- would only be a fair step to take.

Expect it to be a major story later in the day.

7. Yup. And they keep pushing this old, unknown poll saying they're tied in

8. No, Chuck Todd laughed off that poll and said it wasn't reliable.
Scarborough is the one who got all huffy about it, but their stats guy (Todd) has been very fair.

And the story the OP linked to is a wire story, NOT an MSNBC story.

10. I KNOW Chuck Todd laughed it off. Still, it was cited several more times throughout the day.
They're pushing the "it's tightening" line.
