Time to encourage the Barr vote
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 01:18 PM by LuckyTheDog
And why not?

At this point, why would any committed conservative not vote for Barr? It would send a message to the GOP establishment that the electorate wants a real conservative to win the nomination in 2012.

Parties don't change unless they lose elections. And, if Barr fails to get at least 5% of the vote, the GOP will have no reason to go back to its conservative roots. Those who care about "real" conservatism (I am not one of them, but, still...) really should vote for Barr.

1. It could matter in Georgia. It could matter in Montana.
The odds are very long against it, but it could happen that way

2. I hope it does
I disagree with Barr. But I would rather go up against principled conservatives than the kind of slimy corporate shills we have gotten from the GOP.

4. Even conservatives aren't dumb enough to think it will
"send a message". They are not voting for McCain, they are voting against Obama.
