MEME: Bush is a afraid to answer questions from real people
first his phony 'Ask the President' events, now he's trying to duck the town hall debate with real Americans.

3. After all, real Americans might ask real questions
ones that aren't in the script.

6. I'm afraid that the truth may be worse.
These staged campaign events, where nobody who is not already rabidly pro-B*sh is allowed to participate, are merely plausible cover for hijacking the election through vote-rigging, voter intimidation, and other means. After the coup is complete, when Americans express their disbelief at his landslide victory, the regime will point to these pseudo-rallies as evidence that they have multitudes of supporters.

But they know how reviled they truly are and, even though all questions and questioners at town hall events are thoroughly vetted, they can't risk appearing before a bipartisan crowd. The chance is too great that spontaneous protests or other anti-B*sh activities will expose the tide of sentiment against them, just before the election and with too many Americans watching.

Bottom line: if they don't have complete control over an event, neither B*sh nor Cheney will be there.

4. W is for WRONGWAY
The Coward in Chief only faces his evershrinking adoring fans.
Bush* and Cheney are deeply into denial. As if they didn't ignore multiple warnings prior to 9/11. A real LEADER would have at least asked a couple questions. Shrub* and Snarly didn't want to hear it , if it wasn't about IRAQ.

afraid of reporters.
