FOX News attempting to give Kerry more favorable coverage?
There was a short blip reported a few days ago, right after the big march past Madison Square Garden, when hundreds of thousands marched by their HQs in NY and were screaming epithets at FOX. "FOX Sucks! etc". They seem to be taking their fair and balanced" bullshit seriously - even if no one does.

It has been noticeable that they have carried Kerry speeches and excerpts when none of the other networks were doing so. It has also been noticed that some of the "others" follow FOX's lead, CNN in particular, when they do cover Kerry. Unfortunately it would coverage of Kerry 24/7 from now until election day and they would still come up short of the biased coverage they have given to Bush and the radical right-wing.

17. They just need some plausible deniability to claims of bias
they'll say but but but but but look at this coverage we did! And it will be less than 0.0001% of their total coverage for the entire 4 years that would be positive for Democratics, but no one in the US can count, so that doesn't matter.

Once Kerry is in the White House, Fox News will join forces with the neo-cons and begin the smear campaign to discredit Kerry and everything he tries to accomplish, just as they did with President Clinton.

Edit: spelling

We can call them "unpatriotic" then.... and spew various disrespectful comments in their general direction. Kidding of course...... :)

He will lure the fish in and it will take the bait but in the end the fish will be screwed.

7. Fox Management issued mandate of equal coverage of campaign events
some time ago. So it has been more likely that you will see live coverage of a Kerry speech on Fox that on another channel.

Recently the other Cable News channels have begun to follow suit
because Fox is leading in the ratings.

12. The NYC marchers were all over FOX on Sunday
....There was a short blip reported a few days ago, right after the big march past Madison Square Garden, when hundreds of thousands marched by their HQs in NY and were screaming epithets at FOX. "FOX Sucks! etc"....

Not only was the FOX headquarters screamed at and saluted via the one finger wave but every FOX camera and truck throughout the parade route. There were 2 FOX employees standing next to their truck on 5th street with thousands upon thousands of protesters directing their disgust at them. Not a good day to work for FOX.

14. O'Reilly had "Unfit" author O'Neill on last night for a softball-a-thon.
On two different occasions O'Oreilly says to O'neill "so your main objection to Kerry is his trashing of our fighting men in Vietnam?".

As if kerry had a bone to pick with "every" fighting man in Vietnam.

19. I think Rupert Murdoch saw those reactions in NY...
and he sent downa memo to his underlings. I think he told them that something must be wrong to have such a viscereal reaction. Change that impression. Perhaps?

22. Handwriting on the wall perhaps? Realizing that they better...
.. start 'leveling the field' to cover their own asses. It's gonna depend on who's REALLY ahead in the polls. If Kerry pulls ahead, they're gonna be 'fair and balanced' to him. If the AWOL, Graham, Kitty Kelly stuff takes off, they'll start to dump on Shrub.

They may really see the 'end of days' for their biased position and realize than if they don't start to come around.. they may find themselves sailing up that well-known and well-traveled body of water in a chicken wire canoe.

or not...
