Rasmussen poll today is GREAT news for Kerry
Remember--Rasmussen said that this day's report would exclude the Saturday polling (it's a 3-day tracking poll) and he expected that Bush would be up 4-5 POINTS today. Saturday's results he believed were unusually high for Kerry--a squirrely finding which sometimes happens in polling. So he expected that Bush would get a real bump up today.

IT DID NOT HAPPEN.

1. It's good news
Here is the link by the way
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/

that Kerry only dipped less than a point while Bush only went up less than a point is good news indeed. But lets see what tomorrow brings.

3. Yup. The bounce is fading fast.
With the Saturday sample out of the equation, we are starting to see the real effects of the convention.

Translation: not much.

9. the bounce was a thud ... it's gone ...
source: http://www.electoral-vote.com/

In the 3-day rolling average poll, Rasmussen now has Kerry and Bush exactly tied at 47.3% each nationally, with Kerry 1.2% ahead in the battleground states. If we compare this to the 3-day rolling average poll published Aug. 30, Bush is at exactly the same level he was then and Kerry is 0.9% higher. From these data, it appears that the postconvention bounce is already played out. In short, all the hand-wringing and cheering based on the Time and Newsweek polls was a bit premature. If you are a Democrat, you can stop crying in your beer; if you are a Republican, carefully try to pour the champagne back into the bottle. It is still very close.

5. It WOULD be good news except that Rasmussen is basically junk polling
anyway, so it is time to quit wasting band width on it. Stick with Zogby.

6. gang
WE HAVE TO START TAKING WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS WITH THE SALT CATHEDRAL OF ZIPAQUIRA.
I've spent a week listening to the telewhores go on and on about how brilliant the RNC was and what a huge boost it was going to provide. My gut told me it was mean-spirited, evasive, gushing, tasteless and with an unmistakable air of bullying. The Bush twins came off as the Bush twits, Ahnuld's speech was idiotic-as was the idea of calling anyone who refuses to wear rose-colored glasses a "girly-man": women ought to love that-, Unca Dick was his usual Vaderish self, Zell was a ranting lunatic and obviously so and *'s speech was the same old shit and he looked mighty uncomfortable giving it. But, the compromised and interested parties on the boob tube have to say this event was the biggest success since the Six-Day War and PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE IT. Look with your own eyes! It was a barely controlled fiasco. Say it!
Rant over.

7. Rasmussen's robots always go back to a parity
After 2000, I don't put too much faith in this guy.

Maybe he'll prove me wrong in November,

8. Proving once again...
As usual, that "Anthony Coulter" is a liar. She was on Hannity and Colmes last night delightfully in glee that "Bush is up by 11 points! He's up by 11 points!".

She's so mentally deranged- she seriously should be put away somewhere.
