Just blew the McCain Campaign out of the water and their so-called polls.

fait-accompli, it seems.

4. He said NEVER listen to any Campaign edicts about their polls
especially when nobody can see their internals. He believes that campaign surrogates saying their polls show a close election is pure fantasy. He puts more emphasis on the independent polls when you can see all their internals.

12. Paraphrase: "McCain's only hope is that the state by state polls are grotesquely wrong and
wrong on a scale across the country we have never seen before. There is nothing McCain can do except hope the polls are wrong."

Ouch.

13. Psychological
I heard him and others over the past few days remind us that this is "typical" from a losing campaign. They have to keep hope alive. They have to basically lie to their boss to keep him going. And, they have to make the supporter's believe that there is hope so they don't sit home and not vote. One of the big signs regarding a place like PA that McCain is blitzing and telling everyone he's going to win, is that Obama is not scheduled to go back there. He would be "living" there if there was a problem. NOW just make sure the Black vote turns out (which I think is not a problem) but get the goddamn kiddie's off the couch and out of their dorm rooms and have them put their vote where their mouths' are!

18. He was excellent yesterday on Rachel's show talking about Palin's future
he said VPs who lose are NEVER elected president. Historically, the VP on a losing ticket is just considered a loser and has never been elected prez. He gave a bunch of examples (John Edwards, Lieberman etc) and it calmed me down. (there is buzz that she will be the leader of the party in 2012.)

Palin was right when she told Rush she's got nothing to lose. This is her 15 minutes and thankfully (for the sake of our country although I'd argue she's been great for our party) over.
