Get Your Asses to the Polls, Youngins'!!!

I've seen the reports in a number of states that the "under represented" in early voting are the young people. After being at this voter turnout game for, like, pushing 50 years, that's no surprise (nor are the excuses that they wait until the last minute, etc.--bullshit--what you see is what you get in motivation). So, let this old broad give you fair warning:

Obama is the first candidate I've seen in my liftetime that has addressed needs of the younger generation. IF he loses, you will never again see a candidate give a rat's ass about you. They will run to the middle-aged and elderly voters (where the votes are)and promise them everything in the book. Oh, you will get something---the goddamn bill!!

So, you either get out and vote, or in the future shut your pie hole....and dig deep in your pockets to pay the bills for me and my "older" crowd. The decision is yours.

3. Plenty of them will turn out

I'm 32, I only recently crossed over into the "not to be trusted" age bracket. Young people rarely vote early, at least not the ones I knew. Most of them have cell phones that pollsters don't call, and if they do the calls are usually screened and not answered when the number comes up unknown.

Don't worry, they'll be there. Maybe not as many as we'd like and not as many as there should be, but enough of them will show up.
