The world is holding it's breath, America!....We want President Obama!
We're praying that Tuesday brings a new day of hope to your country and the rest of the world, with the election of Barack Obama.
Watching the unfolding of your election, I am awestruck by the obvious wisdom, intelligence and just plain decency of Barack Obama. As I'm writing this, I am watching an Obama rally in Henderson, Nevada, after having watched a McCain rally shortly before. The contrast between the two men is startling!
Obama offers concrete, workable solutions to problems.
McCain on the other hand is belligerent and bellicose....attempting to twist Obama's words in order to portray him as a "socialist" or "communist" or "redistributor" (I'm not sure if that is the term he uses, but it's close.) Without offering any actual solutions to problems, he simply attacks Obama and shows himself to be a thoroughly nasty person. I'm a bit tired of hearing reporters say he is not the same, likeable, funny person they have always known.....as if we are not seeing the real John McCain! That's nonsense, in my opinion. No mature person suddenly has a complete change of personality.....he is just revealing the real John McCain now. In the past he could act the part of the amiable jokester, since it suited him to play that part in order to win over the media. Now that he is fighting for the top job, his true character is being revealed. He is ruthless and single-minded in his determination to destroy Obama's reputation.
Can you imagine McCain in deliberations with other world leaders....discussing touchy subjects? Wouldn't you be afraid he would fly off the handle (as he frequently does, according to those who know him) and cause even bigger problems?
I'll just sum up by saying Barack Obama is the most impressive leader I have seen in many years!

18. Most of America gets it. pResident Smirk and Vice pResident Snarl were never lawfully elected.
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 03:34 PM by Raster
They seized power in a high-level coup d' etat aided and abetted by a dishonest and viciously partisan SCOTUS. President Gore did not lose. He was never allowed to assume office. In 2004, much of the same occurred again, only this time it was Republican Secretaries of State that aided the ELECTORAL FRAUD. President Kerry did not lose either.

a first for our newest member - a former puppy mill mom - she's getting her first "beauty treatment" after her rescue this past April...

Be sure to see at least the last one. :) Pray for Tuesday, world. 16 states ONLY vote then. I'm in one of those, and I can tell you that most people where I am, are ready to go and do it! Nobody wants to miss being part of this, or miss out on having their voice heard about changing our direction this time.

Lots of people in these states will only be able to vote after work on Tuesday, and will probably be waiting a long time in lines, to get through. But I feel sure they will wait, and whoever is there at closing has to be let in no matter how long it takes. I think the turnout will be so big, we'll be counting votes all night.

9. What and you think we at DU don't?
Like we have to be told this? I'm sorry for jumping all over you about this but I've received SO many email from international friends to the tune of "you are voting, right? Have you voted yet? Why haven't you voted yet? You're voting for Obama still, right?"

If Obama does not win, the election has been stolen ... it is as simple as that. Those of us here are killing ourselves trying to make that happen. Now back to the phones ...

11. I certainly don't mean my remarks as anything but a way of telling
you how much I admire Sen. Obama. I can understand your frustration if you are receiving the kind of emails you describe. Please believe me when I say I know you at DU are working your selves to the bone to elect him. :pals:

10. MSNBC keeps showing Arnold Schwartzenegger raving on about
Obama needing to build up the muscles in his scrawny legs and arms. They seem to think it is very funny. Hmmmm....perhaps they should point out the well known fact that Arnold got his muscles from steroids!

Some of the beach pictures are pretty gruesome.

working so hard for this. It is so obvious what a difference it will be with the sane, calm, wise and thoughtful Obama dealing with the other world leaders. :toast:

19. Dear World - please don't take this the wrong way - but many
rednecks here hate the rest of the world and if they find out you want O to win they will automatically vote M. It harkens back to when they renamed french fries "freedom" fries. No sane explanation - just happens when dealing with the bunch of ignorant, racist, dumbfucks who make up for approximately 30% of our population.

So until Tuesday, maybe "the world" should pull for M.

The bush era and his policies are a blemish on this country.
this time... we are making damn sure that it doesnt happen again!

NOT THIS TIME!

NOT THIS YEAR!

the policies of the last 8 years do not represent the best of America, and i have hope that this time, we will do right by ourselves, and by the world and elect Barack Obama as POTUS.

Obama '08!
