09.08.04 - 7:50 EST – This morning on “Imus in the Morning”, James Carville denied he is part of the Kerry-Edward campaign. Carville said he is nothing more than a concerned citizen with a strong opinion about the future of the Country, and not part of, or involved in, the Kerry-Edwards campaign. This was Carville’s response to Imus asking him if he had joined the Kerry campaign as reported in the media.

ISN COMMENTS: Carvel’s statement is nothing to worry about and is typical Carville spin. He wants to keep his media positions, particular GOP-bias CNN, so his statement is logic in this matter. It’s the old game of, consult behind the scenes to a campaign, deny you are involved, and then us the media to further your candiate’s platform. This is Carville’s role for now in the Kerry-Edwards campaign, and a great way for Carville to “play his hand” in our opinion.

Of interest, Carville's purpose to be on Imus was not political. He was there to promote his new children's book he wrote entitled "Lu and the Swamp Ghost", released September 1, 2004. ROFLOL!

For “some strange reason” :-) …there was little discussion between he and Imus this morning on Carville’s new children’s book, but much discussion of politics. In fact, Imus stated he didn’t even know Carvel’s book was out, or he would have been sure “to read it to Wyatt (his son) last night”.

All I can say is, that I love how brillant Democrats work,…impressive - lol!

of an 11 point lead, Carville said (and you could tell from his voice that it wasn't spin) that he is so much more hopeful this week than last and that in reality this is a 4-5 point race.
