Can someone kindly explain to me......
why this campaign is not about how Bush LIED to the country, Congress, United Nations, and the world leading up to the war in Iraq. Bush lied about the threat from Saddam as well as the 911/al Qaeda connection to Saddam for over a year! This is the worst thing a president can do!

Yet this election is mainly about how Bush conducted the war in Iraq (i.e., rush to war without a coalition, no post-war plan, etc...) and the economy.

Many of you will tell me....well in case you have forgotten John Kerry voted for the IWR. But what does that have to do with anything.

John Kerry could easily make Bush's lies an issue by simply saying that he voted for the IWR because Bush and his thugs were scaring the shit out of me with all these lies about Saddam having a nuclear weapon, mushroom cloud, ties to 911, etc.. and so I voted for the IWR. Now that I know it was all Bush/Cheney LIES I would have never voted for the IWR.

Why has Kerry instead taken a different approach and even go as far as saying that he would still have voted in favor of the IWR knowing what he knows now. I know this is somewhat of an old issue and we have sort of discussed this here already. But no one has explained why Kerry never took the approach that I have suggested. It would be an easy explanation for his Yes vote on the IWR and would put Bush on the defensive to try to explain that he did not lie. Of course there is a ton of evidence that makes it clear beyond a reasonable doubt that Bush and Cheney did lie us into war.

Why did Kerry decide to give Bush a pass on his lies? It is never even talked about anymore....NO ONE CARES THAT BUSH LIED US INTO WAR!

1. This should be the central issue of the campaign
even bowtie boy said that last night, and I agree.

2. Two Reasons --
1) Wrong Way's team is REALLY GOOD at campaigning and turning stuff around. Fortunately, our guys are getting better. :)

2) "Past is past. Look toward the future." Etc. Lather, rinse and repeat, and you have the answer to "you lied us into war." Too easy at this stage of the game; I think the Kerry team plans on using it as a dagger a little further in (but that is only my guess). A well honed weapon wielded well ... that's what Kerry does! Wrong Way is going to walk right into it.... (evil chuckle!)

4. Only one fricking reason - THE MEDIA ...hands down
they drive the give and take...what gets news..what doesn't.

They do not want issues or truth discussed!

6. by simply saying that he voted for the IWR
John Kerry voted to give the authority for a war in Iraq... nothing more. So did just about every other senator. No one gave him the authority to be a mindless cowboy. Therefore... he is in deep shit. Not to mention the covering up of the Saudi involvement in 911. That is really what they should hammer him about.

>>I bought this book the day it hit the shelves and read it in hours. It reveals how vulnerable we remain to terrorism and why the Bush administration is not to be entrusted with our security.
Bush blocked every meaningful investigation into the real network of connections that funded and aided the 9/11 killers, and especially he blocked a probe into the involvement of Saudi Arabia.

But this book is not only a critique of the Bush administration. Graham delves into many other related topics, including the real threats in the Middle East and how those threats are mutating over time.
Graham has the goods. From his unique position on the Senate intelligence committee, he has a much better informed perspective than almost anyone else writing about this topic.

Read this book before Nov. 2.<<

8. Part 2 of Senate Intel Committee's Report due after Election Day
Part 1 blamed CIA for everything. Part 2 will show why. Until that comes out there's not enough "proof" that he lied.

Politicians and the media have always created an "official version" of reality. Anything that lies outside it can't be taken seriously. Its hard to fracture this carefully constructed universe. Hard but not impossible.
