Polling question: With all the early voting, and it mostly Dem, wouldn't the polls "tighten" anyway
In other words, a high percentage of Dems cast their votes early. Polling hits those who have yet to vote. So, wouldn't it appear as though the polls are tightening toward McCain, but the reason really is that there are far less Dems who haven't voted to poll?

Just wondering if this is something that is being missed in the dialogue...and would mean things are even better than they appear.

2. Those that early voted
Basically pass the likely voters screens by default, regardless of their demographic profile. This is why the Gallup Traditional Likely Voter poll showed Obama gaining ground over the past week as more early voters showed up. Previously these voters failed the voter screen and now they were passing since they already voted.

3. What's "tightening?" Obama is EXPANDING: 7 to 13 points ahead depending on what poll you look at.
