RNC Talking Point to all news shows -Let's Move on, this is just
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 06:52 PM by Dac_76
a silly distraction.

Now that we've spent THREE WEEKS day in and day out covering the nonsense with Swift Boats, let's not waste even another day looking into *distraction* with Bush.

Problem is that news media did not adequately cover this the first time and it's time to thoroughly look into this and lay it to rest.. or not.

I want to see this covered AS MUCH As the Smears.

Did they actually say "move on"? That would be a catchy name for a website, no?

7. The key word here is "nonsense"
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 07:08 PM by rocknation
The Smear-Boaters was a scam, not a story, which should have been obvious to the mainstream media the minute they admitted that they neither were nor talked to eyewitnesses to Kerry's enlistment. Now a REAL man-bites-dog story comes along with REAL eywitnesses and REAL evidence, and you want to move on? Were you so incompetent that the Smear-Boaters so just conned you, or so in collusion with the Bush White House that you actually aided and abetted them in smearing Kerry? It's easy enough to prove me wrong--COVER THE AWOL STORY!!!

9. "They brought it on themselves"
by making Kerry's medals a centerpiece of their attack ads.

Sound familiar?

11. After Laura Bush, Poppy Bush, and Cheney praised the SwiftLiars
and said they had a right to be heard. Now, I even heard a Bush spokesperson on this afternoon (sorry, I don't remember who) demanding that Kerry condemn this latest Texans for Truth ad, after Bush refused to specifically condemn the SmearBoaters.
