Tweety: It's OVER for Kerry if Cheney's statement stands
just said it

called Kerry an automaton

ripping his lack of spontaneity

Lois Romano: Kerry is NOT a likable person

total ripfest on Kerry

AND Edwards....tweety says, the worst Edwards can do is SUE them!!!!

also, Tony Blankley

this is as bad as I've seen

Not much about how scurrilous the words were; only its political effectiveness

Roger Simon said the theme of the convention was "Vote for Bush, or DIE"

that's as far as it went

they all agreed that Kerry, once again, responded too weakly, and that if the fascists can convince voters that Cheney has a point, Kerry is toast

really despicable stuff

where are the DEMS????????

they all agreed that Kerry SHOULD have responded himself, rather than Edwards

2. Yeah...
.... and if he had responded just a little too forcefully, you'd hear about how awful he is for that.

A statement like that is so absurd I'm not exactly sure what kind of rebuttal it should have had. It almost seems like a baiting tactic.

I sure don't think many sentient Americans took the statement seriously.

No matter what the FUCK Kerry does he's doing it wrong.

It's Bush bashing. It's a hatefest. OR-my favorite, he's lost his cool.

Don't forget, Bush is likeable. And Kerry isn't.

FUCKING PROPAGANDA MOTHERFUCKERS ROT IN HELL

6. Democrats needed to have a unified and on message response.
I have seen at least a dozen different democrats on 3 or 4 different channels responding to Cheney's comment. Each democrat said something different. If there have been 50 or 60 different democrats responding, that means the democrats have put out 50 or 60 different messages, some of which reached only a few hundred thousand voters.

A unified response could have been used to force Cheney and Bush to answer questions about this for days.

9. So why is Bush so afraid to tell the truth then?
Why is he afraid to come clean with the American people? I thought he was supposed to be on our side! What on earth can he be hiding behind all that secrecy? I just can't trust him.

Thank God Kerry's got tons of experience going after government law breaking. And Edwards is a top lawyer as well. I think I can trust that they'll get to the bottom of it for us after they're elected.

It will feel good to be back on the way to America being America again after November 2!

13. Tweety was right. If Kerry lets what Cheney said stand then it's over.
What they've been doing for a month has been sending this message. IF KERRY CAN'T DEFEND HIMSELF HOW CAN HE DEFEND THE COUNTRY FROM TERRORIST? Cheney is telling the country, "Watch me humuliate Kerry watch him not fight back. They keep doing it because they know Kerry doesn't (for some unknown reason) want to hit them hard enough too offset the message. I know people are going to say he did hit back. NO HE DIDN"T. Half-ass doesn't count.

I would like to say thanks to..... Moveon.org, George Soros, ACT, Howard Dean, Michael Moore, DU and everybody else who has been trying to help Kerry win.

The good news is he can still win if he says, LIAR< CROOKS<CORRUPT<CRIMINAL<COWARD<FRAUD In short simple sentences. Use ridule and jokes to be likable. It's really simple.

The bad news is the Democrats have the same losing "talk about the issues stategy". Move to the center "swing voters" delusion. Which is what Kerry is apparently doing.
I've come to the conclusion that until we get rid of the DLC we'll never win anything. The Kerry campaign should fire everybody and replace them with Military Generals.

I hope I'm wrong. I'm only watching this disaster for two more weeks.
Then I'm getting over it. Go ahead and yell if you want.

16. Tweety is wrong
There were surrogates all over TV, from Edwards on down, blasting Cheney's remarks, and they made news for it, forcing the WH to back away from Cheney. If the surrogates DO THE RESPONDING EFFECTIVELY Kerry doesn't have to. Did Clinton personally respond to every charge and assinine allegation in 1992? No, Carville and others did.

14. Yeah double Fuck him
That was one of the WORST hit pieces I've seen in a long fucking time. And some DU'ers got me to watching Hardlies again. I had to mute the motherfucking channel.

If anyone saw him on Bill Maher, you know he plays all this shit for ratings.

And I get so ever loving tired of hearing how well George Motherfucking Bush is liked. How likable. It appears to me he is one of the most hated world leaders since Hitler. Why don't they discuss that? Fucking propaganda.

HALF OF THIS COUNTRY DESPISES that worthless piece of shit in the white house. Report that!

32. The mainstream media is not our (Dems) friends.
In fact, they shouldn't be the GOP's friends either. They've lost all credibility with me. There is no such thing as objectivity anymore. This whole thing about "liberal media bias" is bullshit. If anything, it's right wing or conservative bias.

Paula Zahn, Tweety, etc. are basically putting out the message that "it's all over for Kerry;" at least that's the vibe I'm getting. I don't believe that, but if I were an undecided voter and easily swayed, that might be the feeling I'd get.I'd hope that people would be smarter than that, but to me, the way these talking heads are shooting off their mouth, they're giving off the impression of "don't bother voting for Kerry or at all since Bush is presumably going to get re-elected." Pisses me off!!

Am I off-base here?

sided with Hitler. By late 1944 he would have been with FDR/Churchill.

Tweety has no character.

Get real. All he will do is be responding to the likes of Cheney, Zellout, Assnold etc. from now to November. Meanwhile Bush will play "leader at work". Surrogates are needed for a reason.

26. The thing that would upset Tweety the most is if we stop talking
about him. Let's shut down all comments for 3 days and see what he does - I am sure he visits here.

The bottom line with him is the same as all those sociopaths - he just needs attention. Clearly he did not get enough love as a child.

29. Tweety was right in what he said
What he was saying (less artfully than he should have) was, "if Cheney's framing of the debate stands, it's all over."

Well, of course it's over if the public accepts Cheney's framing of the issue. Who could disagree? And he is right that Kerry has to rebut it in the minds of the voters, not merely label it as outrageous.
