RCP - Very Odd - National Polls Widen, But Virgina and Ohio Tighten?
The good news is that the last National Polls show that the race has widened in the last day before the election. The bad news is that Virgina and Ohio have tightened according to Real Clear Politics:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/

Obama is still in the lead in both states, but RCP is describing the two states as being a toss-up. This does not really make sense, since almost all National Polls show the race widening, and in Ohio, Obama's rallies appear to have been extremely successful relative to McCain/Palin. So, it will be interesting to see what the final numbers are compared to the polling results to differentiate between the legitimate polling companies, and those that are just shills.

1. Obama was never going to win Virginia by high single digits.
Just look at the history of the state.

If he wins by .00001%, that is good enough for me.

2. I'm not worried about VA.

McCain has not lead a single poll there since October 1.

Most polls have us ahead in Ohio, too - and we Obama doesn't need Ohio to win (I think he will win there)

3. I was thinking the same thing...
something is not right that Obama has these huge national lead in the polls but some of the key states are still very tight...maybe someone smarter than me can explain....I don't get it.
