Tomorrow in PA, Bush plans to unveil his "comprehensive economic plan"

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=578&e=4&u=/nm/20040909/pl_nm/campaign_bush_economy_dc

Bush will give an economic speech during a campaign stop in Colmar in Pennsylvania, a state that lost 2,800 jobs in July, 1,600 of them in the manufacturing sector. "This will be a speech where he lays out in a comprehensive way his economic plan," said his campaign's communications director, Nicolle Devenish.

Bush's economic agenda centers around extending tax cuts, easing government regulations that he says penalize small businesses and offering job training to those who have lost jobs.

Devenish said Bush will cite the impact of worker productivity gains, which some economists say has led to sluggish job growth, in emphasizing the need for job training. Bush will also defend his economic record by stressing the U.S. economy has led to 12 straight months of job growth and a 5.4 percent unemployment rate.

Bush will criticize Kerry's plan to eliminate tax cuts for those making over $200,000 a year. "John Kerry seeks to expand government, raise taxes and return power to Washington D.C.," Devenish said in describing what Bush will say.

1. BUT, but we've been living his economic plan for 4 years.
He's had four years of it already. He took a surplus and turned it into a huge deficit.

What more do we need to know?

2. No hurry, George - whenever you get around to it . . .
After all, 4 years isn't nearly enough time to get it together.

Take your time - don't want to wear you out.

More tax cuts for upper income brackets.

5. "Years ago, we would have said your sister's illness was due to witchcraft
But today, thanks to modern science, we know that it is caused by an imbalance in bodily humors, thanks to a small dwarf living in her stomach!"

Let me guess on the comprehensive economic package: tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts and tax cuts? Is that about right?

10. The "teaser" headline on Yahoo's Reuters page is:
"Bush to Outline Economic Plan, Attack Kerry"

So you're right. 30 seconds devoted to "make my tax cuts permanent and go back to junior college for "new job skills in a changing economy," the other 29 minutes on Clinton's schween.

:toast:

12. That didn't take them long, huh?
To top it off, here in Colorado the Repug legislature has just limited the number of community college hours they'll provide support for. So when a student has taken his allotted credits (everyone should be done in four years and shouldn't make any mistakes in their initial career decision), the tuition will increase over 3X - from $1500/sem (with state revenue support) to $4500 (actual cost).

Take THAT, you junior college attenders.

11. We'll all be wearing WIN buttons, right?
Remember back in the mid-1970's when Gerald Ford was President, he wanted to stop inflation so he had thousands of these WIN buttons made. (Whip Inflation Now)

I'm sure the chimp's new economic plan will be just as "comprehensive".
