That's ridiculous! I've contributed money to John Kerry. Does that make me an advisor? Ben Barnes has apparently also endorsed and contributed to Scott McClellan's Republican mother who is comptroller here in Texas. Is he a "McClellan advisor" too?

When someone in your employ makes a statement on air, and that statement is false, am I to assume MSNBC News is lying or that MSNBC News does not fact check?

In either case, MSNBC News is negligent and irresponsible when a MSNBC News staff member reported this morning that Ben Barnes who appeared on the CBS "60 Minutes" expose last night, is an advisor to the Presidential Campaign of Senator John Kerry. He is not. To say otherwise is a disservice to your viewers and plants seeds of impropriety on both Senator Kerry and Ben Barnes.

Ken Barnes, did however, contribute $35,000 to the REPUBLICAN campaign of Carole Keeton Strayhorn, in 2003 for state comptroller of Texas. She won that election. Ms. Strayhorn is also the mother of Scott McClellan, the current White House Press Secretary to George W. Bush.

You insult and offend your viewers with this irresponsible behavior. Just report accurate facts, please.

I expect a retraction and an apology.

11. Obviously, they got the same email that was forwarded to me last night

from Bush and Cheney. The part of that email about Barnes says:

"And tonight on CBS, longtime Democratic operative Ben Barnes-a friend of, major contributor to and Nantucket neighbor of Senator Kerry's and vice chair of the Kerry Campaign--will repudiate his statement under oath that he had no contact with the Bush family concerning the President's National Guard service. (Anyone surprised that Barnes would contradict a statement he made under oath probably doesn't know his long history of political scandal and financial misdealings.)"

Unless he is listed as Kerry's Vice Chair, they have some 'splainin' to do!
