it seeks to find no information out at all.

Its like saying "do bananas matter to you?" You might say "yes" because you are allergic to bananas. You might say "yes" because you like bananas. You might say "yes" because a loved one might have died in a tragic banana incident.

You might say "no" because though you like bananas you might not have thought about them much. You might say "no" because you don't like bananas and so you don't think about them much.

How can you actually tell people's opinions with questions like this? How can this be useful to anybody?!?!

That being said, I voted "Yes" his military background matters to me. But it doesn't tell anybody why! I could be a Bush supporter who's damn proud that he served in the air-national guard and that he's doing a fine job of protecting the country. I might be a Kerry supporter who thinks his military record is a joke and people need to know that Bush is a joke too. (I'm the former BTW, but you can't tell that from me simply saying "yes")
