Log Cabin Republicans Refuse To Back Bush
Today on MSNBC Chris Barron, Executive Director of the Log Cabin Republicans said that by an overwhelming 22-2 vote of their council, the one million members WILL NOT endorse or vote for George Bush.

When asked if they will vote for John Kerry, Barron said no, that they are still republicans and would not vote for a Democratic candidate.

At least that is one million votes that Bush can't count on anymore.

7. I don't concern myself with how they make people feel. I am
elated though, that there will be one million fewer votes for Dubya.

2. I'll bet more than a few actually vote for Kerry.
I have no idea what keeps these people in the Republican camp, but I think even they know that Bush will declare war on gays if he's elected again.

11. I bet you're right
And I had to laugh when Barron was complaining that the GOP was using gays as one more "wedge" issue. He sounded shocked and more than a little offended.

WAKE THE HELL UP!

3. yeah, a silver lining
just the same, the log cabin repukes can still go "straight" to hell. As they are so fond of reminding us, they are nevertheless still republicans.

5. Can anyone actually explain to me what this group stands for?
They certainly bend over and take quite a bit. But what do they actually stand up for?

12. Bullseye.
Every LCR that I've met is all about "me me me." They seem to all be pretty well-off.. so taxes seems to be the biggie for them. Their humanity seems to take a back seat.

13. They had the nerve to attack Kerry in that satement, too
Which kinda pisses me off. They complained that he is inconsistant on his stance on gay rights.

I really don't think these assholes have the right to criticize Kerry on this, since they have been supporting the Republicans for years.

16. Yep
"Equal rights" to most neocons means White, heterosexual, Protestant, affluent, male.

If you don’t meet the above criteria, no need to apply.

19. haha! i totaly agree.
I've never understood the concept of a log cabin republican myself. it's a shame they won't vote for Kerry instead, but heck, someone needs to throw badnarik a bone. Maybe they will all write in Rick "Goodhair" Perry. that would be a hoot.

What i find most ironic tho, is that the "wedge issue" repubs were trying to make btwn them and the dems is turning out to be a wedge in their own party.

For gay people to even have any doubts about this is unbelievably shameful.

Gay people voting Republican is as stupid as black folks voting Dixiecrat.
