small dogs can be carted around easier. I have four small dogs - 2 Pekes, 1 Lhasa and a Pom/Chihuahua mix - all rescues. People pay big bucks for these little guys, then throw them out.

and the group named AARF is located in Richmond, VA. I highly recommend those folks to anyone adopting a dog in the area.
