Former Republican governor of Delaware speaks out
http://www.governorpeterson.org/Excerpt_A.htm

Today is a frightening time for America. Far right-wing Republicans, who have captured their party, now control the White House, Senate and House of Representatives and upon the retirement of just one Supreme Court justice will control that body as well. This domination by extremists is a product of a far right-wing conspiracy that has been growing in strength over the past few decades. These extremists are using evil tactics and strategies to implement their foreboding ideologies to transform America. They have launched a full-scale attack on the way of life Americans have created over many decades.

2. Don't your love the smell of schism in the morning?
You can't have extremists take over a party without some sort of split, no matter which extreme it might be. My guess is that either the moderates will leave and form a third party (not likely) or the babble thumpers will consider the moderates to be injecting too much impurity into the party for their tastes and form their own fringe party (much more likely).

Who knows? In another 75 years or so, the GOP may oscillate back to its Progessive, rabble rousing roots.

8. Put this man in a TV commercial!
NOW!

There are COUNTLESS former elected Republicans who are coming forward against the Chimp's election; we need to bring them to testify in TV commercials so that we win independent voters by an even larger margin.

From what I understand, Kerry's lost ground in last week's polls can largely come from Democrats (going from about 90% of Democrats to ~80%). If he can get them to come home to their party (and he will), then the independent vote is all it'll take. And before the GOP convention, Kerry was leading among independents all summer long. With this kind of appeal to the swingers out there, we can run away with it all..
