so it is on purpose, because the media chooses who will defend the dems is weak? Why am I surprised...we have no say about who represents the Kerry campaign?

8. Dean is campaigning for Senators, just got an email
about a $100 per person event in Chicago.

Dean is working to make Congress more Democratic. At this time, he really can't do much for Kerry as Kerry needs to only allow people who are on the inside speak for him. I'm sure the same is for Clark. He isn't privvy to the game plan so he isn't going to go shooting his mouth off about stuff that may disrupt Kerry's agenda.

I am fairly certain there is an open communication between Kerry and the others.

My question is where is Gephardt in Missouri?

15. I heard him.
He was asked about Kerry's goal to withdraw troops from Iraq by the end of his term. He did a good job. I liked how he described Iraq under Bush as a "cauldron of conflict".

10. Article: War Against Terror is a Failure, Ex-White House Official Says
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2004/09/08/MNG378LCOR1.DTL

WASHINGTON --The Bush administration has bungled the war on terrorism, doing little to provide security at home while breeding legions of new enemies abroad, the government's former anti-terrorism chief, Richard Clarke, told a large Berkeley audience Tuesday night.

Clarke, who made international headlines last spring when he emerged as the highest-ranking whistle-blower from inside the White House's war on terrorism, painted an alarming picture of a White House still pursuing a losing strategy while America's safety hangs in the balance.

"The pool of people who really hate us is so much greater than it was on 9/11 because of this needless and counterproductive war in Iraq," Clarke said to applause from nearly 2,000 people at UC Berkeley's Zellerbach auditorium.

On the home front, except for improved airline safety, little or nothing has been done to protect the many other vulnerable targets such as trains, chemical plants, Wal-Marts and financial headquarters, said Clarke, who served as counterterrorism czar under both Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

11. They are both working for candidates
all over the country.

Kerry has added more & more people to his campaign; Clark & Dean are not part of the official campaign.

Remember, they were both against the war, & were both pretty outspoken, Dean especially. They probably do not fit in with the message.

Dean is speaking at Brown University right now as a Kerry surrogate. He was at Loyola, Denison Univ, Redlands Univ. all this week.

He has been honored at dinners in CA, had fundraisers for the DCCC and DFA.

Next week-end on the 12 he will be representing our country in Rome at Interpendence Day. Will post more later. Will speak in Dubai on the 22.

He had 3 major appearances on TV the week before.

Shall I go on? When I post, they drop like rocks.

They are out there.

(And maybe if that asshole Kerry aide didn't "disown" Clark's attack on Bush on AWOL and Iraq at a recent rally with Kerry ("he doesn't speak for us.."), he would be speaking to those issues more.

/disgust and anger

I read about it on CCN (which is down, right now). David... somebody, can't find out right now since the blog is down. "He seems very angry. (u think???) But he doesn't speak for us."

Fucking asshole. Clark was on FIRE at that rally and tore Bush a new one about being AWOL and went after Cheney as well. Oh, but he doesn't speak for us... Well he speaks for ME, dickwad!

Even if he wanted a little distance between Kerry and everything Wes said, he should have said: "General Clark is a Vietnam veteran and has a right to his opinion." Not this "doesn't speak for us" crap.

28. Exactly!
SOMEONE, a 4 STAR GENERAL!!!!!! FINALLY has the balls to tell it like it is and he says that? Man, that pisses me off. Remember how diplomatic Wes was with the Michael Moore "deserter" comment? He said that Michael could say anything he wanted to because this is a free country and we DO have freedom of speech......THAT is how David, whatshisname, should have handled it. Asshole. :grr:

22. Dean's been working his ass off
with Democracy for America. There's not much use in getting Kerry in the White House if we also can't take back elected positions all over the country (including Congress) with Democrats!

His grassroots work is AMAZING. AND he still carries water for Kerry.
