I am now PROUD to say I am from NORTH CAROLINA; a BLUE state.
I am a proud southerner; daughter of a farming family whose heritage includes Irish; English; German; and Cherokee. I am 1/8th Native American traceable through my mother's side. Both my parents were the first in their families to go to college. They both had several generations of thier families here in NC. Long live these United States of America.

Obviously some hard work done in your state to rally the troops and inform swing voters.

29. I am so proud of my state right now.
Not only because Obama won here -- but we booted Elizabeth Dole out, elected Bev Perdue our next governor, and here in the 8th district Larry Kissell sent GOPuke Robin Hayes packing. Yay!
