Ebay has a business license, files sales tax returns, and pays taxes. Believe me, they are counted in the "employed" numbers!

I sure can't make a living at it, but I do sell on Ebay, and I had to get a license just to be able to buy things wholesale. You need a Tax ID. I also file sales tax forms every month, even though it's only pennies because in state sales are almost non-existant.

This is just another thing Cheney thinks he can blow by the Am people because he things they won't know the truth!

Again, no offense to ebayers, but ebay is hardly the economic measure of success for most folks. Ebay sellers don't have a health plan, benefits or a lot of other important economic tools that are evaporating from the middle class thanks to Bushco.

Maybe Dick should just give up the VP and sell some Haliburton memorabilia on Ebay for a living!

This is the vice president of the United States, and he is clearly losing it. We've got this, and his comment on Kerry's election guaranteeing a massive terror strike. It sounds like something is wrong. Cheney is getting on a bit, and his health problems are well known, and physical problems can have a big impact on mental health. This is scary.

Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards responded that Cheney's comments show how "out of touch" he and President Bush are with the economy.

"If we only included bake sales and how much money kids make at lemonade stands, this economy would really be cooking," Edwards said in a statement.
