Holy shit - I just agreed with Joe Scarborough!
The Doors were indeed one of the most over-hyped bands of the 60's. :-)

1. The Doors have their place in music and I think it is well earned. I just think
Jim Morrison himself is overhyped as a "poet".

6. They were a bar band that made good
and Morrison was definitely over-hyped, but after all these years I still like their music.

9. It's cool if anyone likes their music. I like garage bands too.
They were not the musical gods that people make them out to be.

10. The Doors were pretty good, but over-hyped. I'll take them over gasbag Scarborough though
I cannot stand Joe Scarborough.
