Bush:Habitually AWOL
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 06:27 PM by dmordue
Bush makes it a practice of being AWOL.

1. Sitting for 7 minutes after hearing we are under attack is a failure to perform. His supposed "calm" IMAGE was more important than taking action.

2. He did nothing of significance on Sept 11. I don't fault Bush for listening to the secret service but I was under the impression that he was working from a secure location. However, the report from the 9-11 commission suggests he didn't do much of anything. He didn't decide to down the planes, send up surveillance planes or give them permission to fire - those decisions were made by other individuals without instructions who used their best judgement in a crisis. The normal command structure was not adhered to creating chaos instead of effective action. Bush did however give a short speech. Again image was more important than real action.

3. Bush was AWOL prior to 9-11. On vacation 50% of the time - no wonder he was unable to protect America or listen to security advisors.

AWOL before and AWOL as president.

4. Yar but it will not get to his Christian Right voters.
If I recall those were the same people who burned children in Churches, used dogs, water hoses etc on kids going to school. For get what they did to people trying to get voters signed up. AWOL will seem tame to them.Or am I beeing to hard?

7. It is just part of his shirk ethic.
He shirks work, duty, personal responsibility, truth, integrity, and common decency.
