Poll question: How are you associated with working the Dem vote?
For example, do you work with your local Democratic party, or the Kerry Campaign or Move-On or some other org, or do you head out yourself on your own to get out the vote?

7. Awesome...
:toast: No matter how things turn out... I will always look back at this election and say I did everything that I could to make a change.
I am in the shorts holding up the banner in this picture...I have also gone door to door for Mike handing out literature.

I have never volunteered for anything political in my entire 47 years..soon to be 48..next Tuesday.

I salute you and every volunteer for doing their part to oust chimp.

5. Getting involved locally is essential!
I would recommend everyone get involved at the county level, you will be in the loop with every race from local to national and feel much more empowered. Also, nice to meet the dem's in your own back yard! :toast:

8. on my own and with friends
we just try to register people to vote and will remind them to go on election day.

Since I'm not a Democrat I don't generally work the Dem vote unless a Dem is running against a crook like Bush, Arlen Specter, or Bill Shuster. Hence my support for Kerry and the 3 Dems in my sig. If a good Republican ran against Bush in the primaries I would actively support his campaign. I was hoping McCain would do that.

9. Local K/E group in Asheville, NC
It's a great group of people. We filled a huge room last time we met. Lots of folks are helping out by canvassing, GOTV, phone banking, handing out bumper stickers, or just by talking up the team. I've never seen so many motivated voters.

More hope: The Board of Elections here has been signing up new voters at a rate of about 1,000 per week. They are getting a large number of updated registrations from people who have recently moved here as
well.

It's very promising for Dems here in Western North Carolina!

10. This may not count, but I volunteered for a position
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 10:03 PM by steely
in the local gubment - a stronghold if you catch my drift. At first they were looking for volunteers, then they wanted a letter, a c.v, and then - surprise - an interview - and I still got it. Blew me away. Thought I'd roll up my sleeves and work from within, in my own small little way. on edit - it's almost been a year now.

11. Penn being an important swing state.... don't let up...
Talk to non registered voters ... get them to the polls.

I salute you on volunteering... this election needs Democratic supporters anywhere and everywhere that puts you in a spot to talk to potential voters.
