Now I Know How The French Felt When They Stormed The Bastille
The New Year's Eve-like celebrations last night reminded me of the euphoria that erupts when a subjugated people throw off their oppressors.

America has thrown off the Republicans, conservative ideology, Reaganism, bushism, whatever you wish to call it.

Free at last!

1. Careful, then came the lopping off of heads...
For me last night felt about as good as the CEASEFIRE! Stars and Stripes Headline I read while sitting in the barracks at Phu Bai.
That paper hangs on the wall of my den. I think this morning's front page is about to join it.
