1. Are the Oregon numbers similar to other polls?
Does anyone have doubts about these Oregon numbers, or is Kerry really that far ahead there?

7. Rasmussen
had him up by 6 on the 31st of last month. Riley Research (I've never heard of them) has Bush up by one there. Earlier that same firm had Bush up by five. I doubt this was ever the case though.

I'd assume that Kerry has a slight lead in the state. It's still a toss up for sure...

2. Thanks WI_Dem! I don't follow polls that much
but it's good to see some sanity going on even if fleeting.

I really think California should be smarter than 10% but maybe it will get better.

I wonder what my state of New York has Kerry doing?

4. I agree but remember that Gore won it by 11
and so Kerry is right in that neighborhood.

12. The most recent Quinnipiac Poll of NY
had Kerry up by 18 points. But that was mid August. I assume it is still strong double digits.

3. Oh lord
If the idiot king wins in November, we are truly fucked out here.

He hates California and with a 4 year lame-duckiness under his bloated belt, he will unleash his wrath upon our beautiful state.

6. He's 8 points over * in Washington State also
I get sick and tired of the media whores saying my state is a battle ground state. All *'s trips here have been to scam money from dot com millionaires. He's never made an appearance in Washington State before the general public.

8. The Left Coast
Washington, Oregon, and California will be three of Kerry's strongest states in November, I predict. All of them have Kerry up by 8-10 points and Gore won all three but Oregon only narrowly and Washington was closer than expected too, so Kerry is in good shape on the West Coast. 72 Whopping electoral votes just from the Left Coast--add Hawaii and we have 76.

13. Nader was a factor in Oregon as well in '00
but I don't think he made the ballot this time.
