This online poll which had it nearly 50-50 (700,000 votes) during an extended run after the RNC - it was out there for an extra week before resetting because Bush had the lead during the RNC - is now back to normal (Kerry way up since the freepers have lost their Momentum).

It's titled NBC's First Read: Do voters care? The writers feel that Kerry's anti-war activities pack a bigger wallop than the Bush guard story.

What world do these kool-aid drinkers live in? Most Americans believe the Vietnam war was a mistake.

I'm much more confident knowing that a soldier can change his mind about war and fight against it. The fact that while fighting he was wholly committed, quick-thinking, and brave is also a plus with me. George OTOH was pro-war but not interested in fighting it and not interested in much of anything. He was certainly uninterested in the fate of the men fighting in VietNam.

Kerry was a man of war AND a man of peace. BIG WALLOP.
