I've never seen so many threads citing RW sites
Drudge, American Spectator, WorldNet Daily.

If I didn't know better, I might start to think I was at Freeperville.

1. The problem is that these sites provide an echo chamber
that is sometimes picked up by the "mainstream" press. That's why some people like to keep an eye on them.

4. Thank you for this post, I thought everyone on the DU went nuts
I think some Freepers come on the DU, go along with the flow, even hang out in the lounge and talk fun stuff to get their post count up. Then they come on the General Discussion boards and spin right wing theories and say absurd things like "I'm thinking the second amendment is good so we can have a civil war if Bush gets re-elected" or "Drudge is a reliable source." That or many liberals lose their sensibility from time to time.

5. I think there's a lot of active board sabotage. Some of the real
obvious variety, and a lot of "under the radar" folks of the type you have described. The whole thing really pisses me off.

6. Never click the links- it provides advertising $$$$ for the RW echo...
I agree- people are foolish to post these links- it spreads lies and it gives the RWers ad money...

Everytime you click those links- it increases their advertising stats...
