Deconstructing the Fox Poll

Notice that Kerry leads by 46-44 (48-43 if Nader is not specifically named) in "battleground states."

Also notice that the results from registered voters are no longer being polled or posted, though they were in August. The election is still 7 1/2 weeks away. Why would you stop polling registered voters?

And there is no definition of "likely voter." For purposes of this poll, does that mean someone who says they are likely to vote or does it mean someone who voted in 2000 or 2002?

15% of Bush voters say they may change their mind, but only 12% of Kerry voters say that.

Kerry must improve his number on terror and Iraq, where bush has an advantage, God knows why.

1. Because,
according to Bob Herbert in his op ed NYTimes piece today, 42% of Americans still think Saddam is responsible for 9/11.
