"Attacks on Bush Service May Backfire"
That is the headline in our local Republican rag, The Wisconsin State Journal, this morning.

The article points out that "Democratic operatives" have been pushing the story about Bush's National Guard service and that it may backfire.

Not one time in the more than a month that "Republican operatives" were pushing the Swift Boat lies did this paper come out with a headline stating "Attacks on Kerry Service May Backfire"

But within a couple of days of the scrutiny on Bush they are running this story (by Ron Fournier of the AP, one of Bush's top apologists)

And they say this is a liberal media? Can there be any doubt who the media wants to win this election?

2. Do you mean the Wisconsin State Urinal?
That's what we called it in Madison years ago.

5. So they left two words off the headline
They meant to say "We Hope Attacks on Bush Service May Backfire." Because it certainly looks like 1st Lt. George W. Bush disobeyed a couple of direct orders. And the only way a person could get away with doing that would be if his daddy was a real big shot.

By the way, why didn't Flyboy leave his National Guard service as a Captain? Everyone else who completed his service left with two bars on his collar, not just one.

7. Newsflash for them--------
We all thought the swifty shit was going to backfire on Bush and it did not--it just made him grow in the polls. And Bush had much more of a connection to the shifty swifties than Kerry has to this. So, no, this won't backfire on Kerry either but will impact the polls again. New media mantra: If it ain't news, make it goddamn news!!
