Sarah and the Secret Service - from the Immoral Minority.

<commenting on the UK article about Sarah's inflammatory speeches>

You want to hear something funny?

I had half convinced myself that I would stop posting about Sarah Palin and just let her self destruct on her own.

But with these new revelations that simply will not be good enough for me.

Sarah Palin has proven to be a catastrophic embarrassment to Alaskans.

Because of her the whole country thinks we are uneducated, that we are religious fanatics, and that we are racists. And that is just not true. Not even a little bit.

Because of that misrepresentation she is much too dangerous to be allowed to remain in charge of my state. The longer she stays in the public eye as the face of Alaska the more damage she does to the place of my birth.

So as distasteful as it is, I will continue to post about Sarah Palin in the hopes that an informed populace will keep her from attempting to further her political career, either in Alaska or on the national stage. It is my duty as a REAL Alaskan.

------------------------

Exactly!

So if you see "Palin" in the title, and you don't want to hear about it, fine, don't read the post. But I'm not going to stop talking about her antics in Alaska. You guys need to know. She's a climber.

2. By all means
It's your board, too.

I realize now that Sarah has not yet begun to fail. Her failure so far has not daunted her too much. She knows she is cut out for bigger things, which can only mean more spectacular failures. And while we all wish for her to go away, she may treat us to a lot more comedy yet.

4. It's fun to chuckle at her,
but she does need to be taken seriously. She is very charismatic to a certain political segment in this country, a segment that's angry right now. The last thing we need is for them to have a charismatic, inflammatory leader. I think she needs to be watched closely.

6. I absolutely agree.
Please read this post here. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=7839154&mesg_id=7839154 The blogger has known Sarah Palin for years, and has been pretty fearless in exposing her. He's a reformed Republican, now active in the Democratic party in the Valley, Sarah's turf, so he has some influence. I think everyone is waiting for the legislature to reconvene in January. I'm sure people have been discussing options privately. Sarah needs to watch her step in the coming weeks, or she could find herself in some trouble. She was never supported by the old-line Republicans here, and now she's alienated the Democrats and Independents who were her allies. It seems like she'd take care not to step over the line, but with her, you never know. She's all mavericky like that.

18. She's the worst kind of dangerous. Log-stupid is unfortunate. Arrogant is
also regrettable. But when you have towering arrogance in someone who's breathtakingly stupid, it's the worst possible combination...You get things like unending, unwinnable wars, destroyed economies, the last eight years...

I'd be interested in seeing what happens to her in January, then. What would you, as an Alaskan, say that Alaskans in general are thinking? I have a friend who used to live in Alaska, who thinks Palin was able to kind of coast along before the spotlight of the entire world was turned on her a few months ago, and that now she's basically embarrassed Alaska, and Alaskans, in front of the entire world. She thinks Palin might be done in Alaska because of it.

If that is true, then I hereby offer up my prediction of what the future holds for Caribou Barbie...she'll just go the way of all failed extremist right-wing politicians and end up as a talking head on Fox News. I'm as sure of it as I've ever been about anything.

the more revealed the better informed, as they say.
I click on ADN and read and recommend (or not) the comments on almost a daily basis. It is not looking too favorable for McwolfKiller right now.
Hey Blue...do you post there? I have probably recommended your threads!

8. Put a fork in her...
...she's old news.

I fully expect her to appoint herself as Senator and will have to run in 90 days, last I heard... I would imagine that she will lose if only because she is now a national laughing stock and indeed is embarrassing Alaskans with her visibility.

I'm sure some ex-Romney staffers will do the dirty work to fund a candidate to kick her ass. It is in Romney's best interest to send her back to Wassila.

19. Alaska voted for McCain and looks to re-elect Stevens to the Senate
All things considered I'd say that Palin will continue to be a significant factor if Alaska has anything to do with it.

Sarah Palin needs to be stopped because she is a dangerous individual. She cannot go mainstream. If she does, then America is in trouble.

13. If you believe that her words were not part of the McCain campaign's strategy, please turn in your
voter registration. The whole "Who is Obama, REALLY?" putsch was the McCain campaign. So was focusing on Ayers and Wright in the last days, as a way of questioning Obama's loyalty to Ameria and his patriotism.

In the earlier part of the Presidential campaign, the McCaim campaign was doing that by claiming that Obama was more concerned about his success in the election than he was with America's success in the war. As things got bleaker for them, they attempted guilt by association, rather than trying to fabricate treason out of Obama's own acts.

If anything, Sarah may have substituted the word "pal-ing" for the more weasely "associating," but the strategy came straight from McCain's campaign.

In the rush to discredit Sarah, which she so richly deserves, don't neglect McCain and the RNC. They directed that mess.

14. Yep.. ugly vicious words coming from a cute, perky, winky woman
can be overlooked by the "faithful"...Mccain was too much of a coward to "say those things to his face", so he sent his interchangeable woman out front to say them..:grr:

15. Sarah was the tool of McCain and the RNC. That does not make her less of a tool, in every sense of
the word "tool," though. Just do not allow the McCain campaign and the RNC succeed in this tasteful attempt to redeem themselves after the fact. They sicced her. The fact that she had no scruples, even after the shouts of "Kill him" came from the rabble, means only that they are all as ugly as can be. It does not exonerate McCain or the RNC one whit. Don't tell me they could not have muzzled her and changed the tone of their campaign if they wanted. That exchange between McCain and that woman who called Obama as Muslim was an idolated incident and as phony as it could be. That was McCain, trying to disassociate him from the death threats, period.

If people think she's going to go away quietly and not continue to seek an expanding power base, they're just not thinking clearly. This woman IS dangerous, and she'll stop at nothing.
