4. Brian Lamb referenced sludge this morning on c-span....
but then again Brian always refers to his favorite reich-wing rags and institutes. He really is showing his bias lately.

...shoot, I started my very first thread (LOL) on this, but it's a dupe, after reading this, and sinking fast. The difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Republicans would never EVER display any doubt about any source of theirs that would discredit a Democrat, they would immediately circle the wagons, dig in, and lie lie lie to fight off any contradictory information, no matter how credible. Ever see any right-winger say, "gee... those Swiftboat guys... are we SURE they're telling the truth?"

But shed even the flimsiest doubt on evidence that backs up a story or theory discrediting a Republican, even from the most unreliable and unworthy of sources - Matt Drudge for God's sake?! - and what happens? Democrats start slitting their wrists and pulling out their hair and bending over backwards to HELP Republicans discredit a story that benefits them. O the Incessant Search for The Truth. We must ALWAYS be right, we must ALWAYS tell the truth, no matter how damaging to our own cause. It's an admirable way to go through life, but it doesn't win elections. Republicans can count on us skewing our own sources just as surely as they can predict the sun rising in the morning. That's all they have to do, just point the way and we'll diligently follow - leaving them free to sit back and enjoy the self-flagellatioin. It's sickening, but it's the curse from which we'll always suffer. People determined to be right will always suffer from their own obsessions with it.

I can't believe what happened yesterday. Geez, the burden of proof is on THEM, not us! Democrats had nothing to do with these documents coming to light and yet we must debunk them ourselves!

20. you know why he's influential?
PEOPLE FALL FOR HIS BULLSHIT, AND TREAT IT AS RESPECTABLE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

And I was one of the people who has begged DU admin to put a lid on all the Drudge threads in LBN.

I was overruled, but I'm still going to have my say in the matter.

Drudge is full of shit.

Edited on Fri Sep-10-04 01:15 PM by the Kelly Gang
anyone giving the tiniest credence to Sludge deserves fucking Bush.

You have to get into your heads..these freepers DO NOT CARE that Bush was a deserter, a liar and a thief..they admire him because of it.
Nothing will change their minds..they are fucking morons and they love this fake forgery story because they love to see Dems demoralized.

They couldn't give a flying f*** about decency and honesty and soldiers dying. Taking notice of these lowlife turns them on.

Here is an example of how they think : I just had one who I trade emails say that 1005 death in Iraq means fuck all because more people die in their bathrooms every year. As long as it someone else.

IGNORE THEM AND THEIR BULLSHIT.
