Florida Poll: Sen. Martinez(R) weak
November 11, 2008

Poll: Sen. Martinez weak

A group called Public Policy Polling http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2008/11/senate-2010-reviewing-ppps-polls.html">reports that in three polls this summer that Sen. Mel Martinez's job approval rating had tanked. The group works primarily for Democrats.

In June his approval rating was 23%, in July it was 24%, and in September it was 23%.

They found that CFO Alex Sink would beat him in a hypothetical 2010 race, 37-31.

*

"We found that in hypothetical 2010 matchups Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink would lead Martinez 37-31, Congressman Robert Wexler would be tied with him 31-31, former Senator Bill Graham would lead him 51-31, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz would lead him 38-37, Congressman Allen Boyd would lead him 37-33, and Congressman Ron Klein would lead him 37-33. Martinez is probably the most endangered incumbent in the country for 2010 and given his lack of popularity even with Republicans is ripe for a strong primary challenge."

3. The last thing Mel Martinez cares about is the Voters in Florida....
.. he is Miami Mafia.. whatever "cream" he can rake off the top of a corrupt government. Put him in a Fidora and transfer him to Chicago and he could fill in for Al Capone.. no problem.

5. Think you mean Bob Graham
He is beloved by Floridians, but seems retired. I like Wasserman Schultz too...she has the energy and is well spoken. Sink looks like a winner too. If you are not from Florida you may not know Alex Sink is married to former candidate for governor Bill McBride. He lost to Jeb.
