Georgia Senate: Dem is running surprisingly strong here
This poll was posted on Daily Kos, It is a democratic senate committee poll, but it is encouraging.

Isakson (R): 46%
Majette (D): 41%
Buckley (L): 2%

Among Probable voters.

Among likely voters it is 48-43-2 for Isakson over Majette.

Denise Majette may also get a strong turnout among the states African-American population which could make a close race into a winning one.

1. Its a partisian poll
Bush will carry Georgia and Isakson will win the senate seat, both probably quite handily.

That's my prediction.

4. probable that Bush will win
but I'm not ready to concede the Senate race just yet. Denise Majette is the first AA nominated for the Senate, she is more than qualified, and if turnout is high enough she could win.

2. Yea GA is pretty much done

Only Idaho and a couple other states beat Georgia for right-wing lunacy. The fact Majette is running this well is only because the GA Republican Party hasn’t brought out the “Rebel Flag” yet? Once they do that, GA goes Bush easy.

5. Georgia is an ALL-Diebold-DRE State
As we saw in 2002, Democrats can no longer win there, no matter
how many votes we get. Ask former Senator Cleland or former
Governor Barnes.

3. Cynthia McKinney has a chance to be a real team player here.
It would go a long way to healing wounds in the party if she and Majette joined forces.

Then again, party funding would be an even better idea. Having a black woman replace Zell would be too sweet.
