Heh!!! I caught them in the "th" lie!
I've been digging around on the AWOLBush.com page and what did I find? One of the Gov't released documents with a raised "th"

Second line down. Looks raised to me! And this is from one of the previously released documents. If you would like to find it yourself, go here:

http://awolbush.com/kerry-vs-bush.asp

And click on the (doc10.gif ) - Chronological Listing of Service (undated; last entry 10/1/73) link. Eh! Did I do good? Tell me I did! :D

15. I sent it to CBS and MSNBC around 11 a.m.
I also told CBS to stop worrying so much about the forgery issue and emphasize that the documents, forgeries or not, lead them to comrades and associates of Col. Killian who said that the documents reflect Col. Killian's statements about Bush and the pressure to give Bush high ratings. Said something similar in message to MSNBC

10. Notice this?
The 4 Sep entry is with the raised "th" and the 9 Dec entry is not. The service entries were made on different machines at a different time probably because there were all different kinds of typewriters in the CBPO offices.

12. Could be the same machine, just typed a different way
using the letters t and h instead of the special character "th".

19. No, it's a true superscript
Compare the superscripted type
to the in-line version

You can see that the superscripted letters are (1)smaller, and (2)raised from the baseline. Don't tell HFishbine, though. He'll just laugh like an idiot.

24. That's what I meant.
I was explaining that the same typewriter could make both the true superscript and the ordinary text "th", assuming it was equipped with the special superscript character for "th". ewagner was suggesting this was evidence of multiple typwriters on the same document. I was saying it isn't.

16. Good Job!
Plus, guys, contrary to popular belief, they DID make typewriters with superscripts in 1972-3. They weren't commonplace, and many of the people who had them didn't use them, but they did exist. This BS that that only computers can produce superscript is just baloney.

18. My mom was a secretary in the early '70's...
She says that on the IBM Selectrix (sp?), one could hit a half-key to use either a super- or sub-script function. That would also explain the inconcsistency among the documents (why some use superscript and some dont). Whoever was typing just wasn't thinking and forgot to hit the half-key.
I was unsure about these documents before, but I'm convinced as to their authenticity now. After all, if someone went out of their way to forge documents, wouldn't they have gone that extra step and use an authentic '70's typewriter? They're not hard to find. I'm in high school and we have 'em.... :)

21. Why is the CBS "th" raised so much more than all the others?
They obviously didn't come from the same devices.

23. Does that really matter?
THe arguement that they are trying to pull off is that Superscript wasn't even invented until the 80's. That particular segment of the document was typed in 1968.

By the way, welcome! :D

25. That's beside the point -- they both used superscript
Were the typewriters used in the central office to type the AF7 different from the one used to type Killian's memos to himself? Yes.

Killian's clearly was the newer model, as it could handle proportional type. It's worth noting that the "th" in Killian's "187th" is raised much more than MSWord will raise a superscript by default.
