I can see Dan Rather invesitgating the facts within the book, covering his ass ten ways to Sunday with lawyers ... and then exposing the shrub for the man he really is.

Rove and company tried to smear him badly...the RW blogger that CNN sourced for the story were calling for rathers retirement (powerline .com).

Personally, Rove might be evil and soulless and you can go a long way on that, but he's not all powerful. My opinion is he saw the documents, knew they were damaging, so he knee-jerked a rumor, claiming they were forgeries. His mistake was forgetting who he was trying to mess with.

I hope my faith in 60 Mins is justified.
