Senate Majority leader is a pretty powerful position, of course, Reid would have to step aside....

No doubt she'd be effective in the Sec. of State job, but I would rather see her as Senate Majority leader...

3. Due to her lack of seniority, isn't this pretty much impossible?

5. She stands absolutely no chance whatsoever of being ML
and Harry Reid was just unanimously re-elected to that post by his fellow senators. It wouldn't be my choice, but the only people who get to vote on that are senators.

7. I don't trust her controlling what legislation gets through.
I guess I'm just a bleeding heart liberal, not tired of bleeding for others.

8. Reid was just reelected. It could not happen before the next Senate Session in 2010..
I do not have any feeling on that, but she could not be worse than Reid.

10. No. She'd do what Mitchell did and refuse further senate investigations into BushInc
and call it 'moving past' these issues. Moving past the outstanding issues in IranContra, BCCI and CIA drugrunning throughout the 90s really worked out well for the Democratic party and the country and the world, didn't it?

11. She lacks the seniority, for one thing
not going to happen now and not for maybe a decade if she stays in the Senate.
