My First Kerry Edwards Yard Sign
On Wednesday, I went to a campaign volunteer center in Greensburg, PA. When everyone left, they had free Kerry Edwards yard signs.
I took 3, just in case.

I wasn't too worried about people stealing them, though.
Our neighborhood is mostly republican, but most of them are decent people.

So, Friday morning we put up our first yard sign.

I woke up today and it was gone. Our sign was up less than 24 hours and some wacko stole it.

I'm going to search all the garbage cans on our block for it.

Then I'm going to coat our second sign with poison ivy.

1. Good for you
Don't let them win. It's like our Freedom of Speech is already gone, they're just waiting for another term to officially take it away.

And if you do find out who took it - remember to challenge them to a duel. :P

2. Yeah, I'm saving mine for a little closer to the day
just for that reason. I'm considering just putting it up in the morning when I leave for work, then taking it down when I get home... I work a long day, so it's nearly dark by the time I get home.

I figure people won't see it well at night, and probably won't have the guts to mess with it during the day.

3. I don't blame you
here in the Ozarks, folks don't have yard signs-they nail them up to their mailbox poles, which are made of fenceposts. I smile every morning that I go by "Veteran for Kerry" 's road. I think if anyone trashed the sign they would have more than poison ivy to contend with-more like hunting dogs ready to bite.

4. If you lived in Dallas, I could help
I started giving away Kerry/Edwards yard signs last night - still have one in the trunk just waiting for a home.
