Voters Tiring of Swift Boat Controversy
<For voters growing weary of the swift boat controversy dogging presidential candidate John Kerry, they are not alone.

KCBS reporter George Harris says he found people way more interested in other issues in the campaign than events in Vietnam.

Judith Ross has a son in the military and she is "worried about the war in Iraq. "I am the mother of a U.S. Marine and I dread every day that he could be sent to Iraq."

Lt. John O'Neil's message, which gained renown in the pages of "Unfit for Command," spoke with to the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco Friday and more than two dozen protesters outside the club greeted him.

But outside the talk, other veterans had gathered saying they would like the focus to turn to more important campaign issues like jobs, the war and health care. >

2. Let's move on to supposedly forged documents
Can't give those voters time to look around them and notice what's actually going on.

3. took words out of mouth
Vietnam fatigue once AGAIN works in their favor

nobody wanted to talk about it four years ago, when, once again, it worked in Bush's favor for it NOT to be discussed

if it HAD, if Gore's campaign had been as ruthless as Bush's, he'd have been outed for the coward and liar that he was then, and is now, and we'd be discussing Gore v. McCain right now

with no 911 looming on the horizon

that would have been an interesting campaign, wouldn't it?
