1. I already think I know who the sec of labor will be
and if anyone freaks over who it is, dare tell me who's more qualified for the job than he. I think its pretty obvious for that postion, and if it happens, I'll be happy because its his joy. I dont know really when he'll start hinting.

13. I would do but many here on the boards eh dont like him
but frankly like his war resolution vote or not, it has nothing to do with the rights of the worker, and Gep love him or hate him, you know he's dedicated to helping them out.

but I think he's the best man for the job of Secretary of Labor.

27. I liked Gephardt very much, always have but,
I just didn't think he could win against bush. I loved him in the debates and in the press. Bush is a miserable failure, lol. Go Dick!

34. Dick bless his fine soul's main problem is
He couldn't energize young voters, its sad but true, very few people my age are labor democrats like myself, remember I was in a union and most people my age are socially liberal but more economic moderate, Gep is the opposite, hes not a social con but he's not you know liberal on the social issues but he's acceptable but on economics, he's very good.

20. he had to because he ran on having a "great team" since he didn't know
anything. remember how they made excuses for him not knowing anything by talking about how "at least he has a great team" which we now know was a lie. although many people including myself knew it was a lie back then.

23. Hell after Edwards he was my pick for VP
Whenever I compare and contrast the dems and republicans, I talk about Dick Cheney and Dick Gephardt, two guys, both midwestern protestants who are the same age, opposite parties but let's face it, Gephardt is a traditional guy, not his voting record but he himself is like an old time labor fighter, someone we need despartly these days, Gephardt has a lesbian daughter, Crissy and he and his wife have been amazing about her, it really impressed me how Gep is to his daughter and Cheney on the other hand with Mary, well thats just sad. Kudos to the Gephardt's. Really, I am gonna miss Gep if he's gone from politics all together, I remember him from when I was younger, he was such a familiar face on CSPAN.

12. oh, yes
I think middle America would feel much more inclined to support Kerry if they knew who would be SecDef and SecState. Wes Clark can't be SecDef, but he could be a special envoy to resolve Iraq, or something like that couldn't he? I don't know if CJCS would be beneath him. Name a known peacemaker to the U.N. -- George Mitchell perhaps.

Perhaps he should announce a special "team" who will work immediately to repair relationships around the world. Half a dozen top level people.

Just thinking out loud here.

21. Kerry should break from tradition. Be bold. He allowed "traditionalists"
talk him out of his plan to not accept the nomination at the convention for reasons of campaign financing. Whether it was a good idea or not, let's just say, "The jury is still out on that one."

Screw the media and the critics. Be bold and pick your cabinet.

40. Missing the Point
I think we're all missing the point here.

The great thing about dropping hints about your cabinet is that it shows you've got a "strong team" and you drop little crumbs for that person's supporters, so they get out and vote for you.

Clark should be named Sec. of State now. He'd be great for the job, and this would energize Clark's many loyalists to get out the vote for Kerry!

Dean should be named DNC chair now. I know this isn't part of the cabinet, but right now we're trying to win. Dean would be a great "face of the party" and also would fire up a lot of his supporters to vote for Kerry.

Kinda of like when Bill said when referring to Hilary = you get 2 for the price of 1.
