Is America more hated than George W Bush around the world?

Perhaps not, but he is hated immensely. And for someone that is so despised and has sown so much hatred, how is it possible that he can make America safer than anyone?? Seems to me he should be the last person in America sitting in the White House? For those that argue he is most competent and courageous, I say they are full of shit.

I don't think Americans et al are hated as much as our government, but that doesn't prevent us from being in the crosshairs.

The reality is that 9/11 happened on Liar's watch. And since then, he has only further aggravated the source of the danger by invading a country that had nothing whatsoever to do with the attacks and abandoned actions in the country that was training and harboring al Quieda. How exactly is this supposed to make us safer? Competent, courageous? How does that make any sense?

2. I think those nations who hate America outright,

such as Iran, other terrorist nations, etc., will always hate us. Some nations have such antipathy towards Bush and his mindset, and they assume all Americans think like him. Of course, a lot ofthose nations weren't fond of Clinton either, but they saw him as more open. Like I said before though, some nations will always hate us, and many of those will go out of their way to oppose us.

4. The sad fact is, that as far as perception goes, there's no difference.

Just as many in this country can't tell the Taliban from Al Qaeda, or Saddam Hussein from the 50% of the Iraqi population who are children, there are a lot of other people in other countries who now hate all of us because of George Bush Jr.

Under our constitutional system of government, this assumption would not be unwarranted. The majority of the people must support this guy if they elected him, right?

Of course we know that in reality, half the people didn't vote at all, and less than half of even those who did actually voted for the Idiot Son of an Asshole. So in reality 18% of eligible voters actually support this fucking bastard.... But I doubt Al Jazeera reports that fact. The networks in THIS country sure as Hell don't :grr:

DO love this nation we live in, what it stands for, and who we the people are.

It's the same way we love the Iraqi people or Iranian people or the North Korean people, althought we dont particularly enjoy their government.

Sitting here in Norway, I can assure you that if Bush is elected, the feeling around the world will be that Americans deserve anything they get, be that in the form of a destroyed economy, an overturn of RoevsWade, and even, in some extreme cases, any terrorist attacks that may happen. Especially if Bush invades Iran, North Korea, or any other country.

Americans may not agree with other nations taking such an interest in their elections, but the consequences of Nov.2 is going to affect all of us. Norway's oil country, and we can absolutely see the US leaning very, very hard on us - even threating us - to get our oil.

My prediction if Bush is elected - the US will finish its slide out of the company of civilized nations. Even with its superior military force, it's losing Asia already, Europe will turn its back, Africa will turn to Europe, and Arabic countries - well, I shudder to think how that will develop.

10. I don't know about "more hated",

but I my friends in Australia, England, New Zealand, and Canada, all say the same thing. They have lost respect for America. They are quick to say it is our government, and not necessarily the citizens...but in the end, the world judges us by what our leaders do or don't do.

But he is also feared, for his random behavior and cowtowing to neo-fascists. I think any foreign policy triumphs that proceed from his first term and (oh please no) his second will be seen by history as emanating from fear of retaliation more than cooperative goodwill.

And that's fine with the bushistas. Fear or goodwill, doesn't matter to them as long as they get stinking rich.
