Poll question: OK I'll try to be positive.
I realize that sometimes I have to tendency to be a bit negative. I'm putting it in God's hands. Here's a more uplifting poll:

If Kerry wins, what should his first major policy plan be?

2. Smiting the unrighteous, for a start
Establishing the New Jerusalem.

Driving the moneychangers from the temple.

Casting the wicked into the lake of fire.

Granting repentant sinners Eternal Life.

Getting me a date for next Saturday night.

4. Have to agree with billbuckhead
The first thing the new administration has to do is clean the rats out of the pantry. Then we can move ahead.

5. I believe he's already said
his first action would be to repeal Bush's ban on funding for stem cell research. And I'd say reversing Bush's environmental atrocities should be close behind.

6. How about alternative energy?
That could snowball into creating new jobs, no dependency on Middle Eastern oil, cleaner environment, lower taxes and spending in the long run, etc.

Fucking genious plan! Read Kerry/Edwards "Plan for America" book.

10. Hell yes -- reform the 1996 telecom deregulation act and its spawn
The Iraq situation isn't going to be "Fixed" first thing, that's a long-term project.

Repealing bush tax cuts is a priority, but it will come in due time, along with a more balanced budget.

Tweaking the "Patriot Act" would be more of a legislative endeavor, although I hope president Kerry puts it on the front burner.

Homeland security certainly could be improved, but that's going to involve significant restructuring.

But the current state of the mass media... it's poisonous. :puke:

If he doesn't do something about it pronto, it will hound him from the second he takes office to the day he's impeached.

9. I think the first thing he should do is reform our corrupt electoral
system, if possible. Computerized voting machines that don't produce ballots should be banned. But this and your goals require, not just that Kerry win, but that we have a majority in at least one branch of Congress. I am really hoping and praying we'll get the Senate back. The House would be a long shot, but doable.

11. People are dying
everyday in Iraq - plus it is central to US security, let alone the stability of the world for the next several generations. This needs to be #1, along with Palestinian/Israeli mess that's been off leash for 3 1/2 years now.
