Bush Election Lead Narrows!??? Fill Me In!!!!!!
First time had a chance to check the news today. Not much on except 9/11, 9/11 and 9/11. So I flipped to Bloomberg News (on dish). In their news box at the bottom I read: Bush Election Lead Narrows Says Newsweek. And then right under it were the words: Bush leads by 11 points in Time Poll. I assume the Time Poll is the old one that was taken last night of the RNC, etc. But apparently, Newsweek has a new poll!!! I have no idea what it is and would love to know. Whatever it is, all I know is that it is headlines like that that we desperately need to start cheering up a lot of depressed Dems!!! Anyone have the info.????

2. Newsweek has Bush lead falling from 11 to 6 points
Time actually has a new poll claiming it is still 11 points for Bush. But Rasmussen tracking still shows the race is tight 47-46 for Bush.

4. Newsweek is a new poll, but the Time poll also is new
but as I said in another thread, Time has Bush's approval rating at 56 percent, and no other poll since the RNC has had at any higher than 52 percent, so I consider it highly suspect.

As for Newsweek, the internals of the poll are even better. Kerry now loses only 7 percent of Dems to Bush, which is a significant improvement over the last poll (in 2000, Gore lost 12 percent of Dems to Bush, BTW) and he LEADS among independents 45-39, an 11-point swing in his favor since the previous Newsweek poll. The only reason he's behind at all in this poll is they sampled 9 percent more Repukes than Dems.

7. nope, they know it's impossible but...
it's a better story to say bush is blowing kerry out.

notice zogby or the fox poll (both have the race close) are NEVER mentioned but time, newsweek, and gallup always are.
